In order to volunteer as a group, the group leader/organizer will first need to complete the registration and orientation online. Once this is complete, the leader will be able to register a group of volunteers. We ask you to provide each group members name and email address, requested volunteer date (at least 2 weeks in advance), as well as some other general information about your group. Once you have entered this information, our website will automatically contact each group member via email, and invite them to participate in this group. Each individual volunteer will also be prompted to complete their own online registration information and orientation. Once registered, each group member will have access to the group page, where you can see all group members, and where they are in the registration & orientation process. The Volunteer Coordinator will notify the group leader once the volunteer date(s) have been confirmed.

Note:
As you may know, Habitat for Humanity International suggests a donation from corporate volunteer groups.  This suggested donation does not apply to church or club volunteer groups.  Habitat for Humanity of Hudson County suggests a corporate donation of $150 per volunteer per day.  This suggested donation is relatively low compared to other area Habitat for Humanity organizations; however, it is a very important source of financial support as we work in partnership with families in need to build and renovate decent, affordable housing.  The cost of our first two homes, both three bedroom units, will be approximately $135,000 each.
